Social media is blamed as a source of various social problems. It is true that social media has contributed to connect people easily. However, should many negative issues rise since the use of it more intensive, I consider social media potentially lead to many matters.

The initial purpose of social media is connecting people. There are eases of build relationship through social media. People are able to reunite with their old friends. We can contact our relatives who live far away. Social media users may interact with others who have typical interests. Moreover, nowadays social media is harnessed for advertise some goods and services. Those positive impacts show that social media has influence to our life. It reshapes social interaction in the modern life through digital channel.

However, the advantages of social media are followed by its drawbacks. In many cases, social media platforms are functioned for improper purposes. Many terrorist groups claim that they provoke and recruit new members through social media. Moreover, in recent months, we witness a lot of fake news that support black campaign in the social media. Privacy protection is another issue that exacerbates social media use. Control social media uses are complicated due to the problems are widespread against many life aspects as those foregoing facts. Governments around the world have noticed it but most of them have not deal with those matters successfully. As a result, social media could threat social harmonization in real life. The future impacts might immeasurable.

In summary, social media creates the new way to interact each other. Nonetheless, we must not deny that the detrimental effects follow it. Prohibit the use of it is impossible therefore control and manage it are the appropriate solutions. The ultimate goal is drive social media to a positive part of human society life.
